The Woolly Bugger
The Woolly Bugger is the bread and butter of most any fly box. Legend has it people have caught fish in duck puddles it’s so reliable. For our graphic designer the Woolly Bugger represents being the jack of all trades, master of none. As he finds himself passionate about so many crafts and hobbies but never attaining perfection from having too many irons in the fire. You may not fly fish but you might just be a Woolly Bugger!
Woolly Buggers often come in bright florescent colors with flashy tinsel to catch the eye of fish. This was the inspiration for the bright blue with flashes of lighter blue. To execute this look we printed a base of bright blue and then went full Jackson Pollock slinging light blue swirls onto the screen for the second hit producing the marbling effect. Using this process makes each print unique and one of one!
